Future technologies, industry trends and growth markets. Investment decision-makers and industry experts from around the world. At Productronica, the decision-makers and thought leaders of the industry come together - from established key player organisations as well as innovative start-ups.
The two trend topics of this year's industry platform are Smart Maintenance and Smart Factory.
A group of GPV experts visit the trade fair to gain knowledge about the latest technological developments and trends in manufacturing and engineering processes, equipment and software. Furthermore, the trade fair offers a convenient platform for comparing and benchmarking various brands visiting particular suppliers and getting detailed information about their products.
“Our participation strengthens our partnerships with customers and suppliers so that we secure a common platform to discuss how we bring new technologies into our business and production. It is a huge advantage to have seen upcoming products, which in near future help us streamline and optimise our production,” says Torben Ryberg, technical manager at GPV Electronics Denmark.
A special focus at the trade fair is robots for collaboration and internal transport within production sites. Odd shaped components and elements can be difficult to handle, but the trade fair showed extensive development in robots with new, modern grapping tools to secure optimal handling of these odd shaped components.
“We gain good insights into what the near future brings and how we can further optimise our production towards Smart Factory and digitalisation. Bottomline is for us to be able to provide our customers with the latest state-of-the-art services in the fields of Design & Engineering, Electronics, Cable-Harness, Mechanics and Box-build,” says Hans-Peter Hauser, Senior Vice President Operations at GPV DACH.
