The intention of our endorsement of this program is to support an increase in national blood reserves, which were reduced remarkably after the Easter Sunday tragedy. After the attacks, the National Blood Bank made a public request to help increasing blood reserves through voluntary donations.
Trained and qualified medical professionals from the National Blood Transfusion Unit carried out the blood donation activities.
90 units of blood were donated by 150 employees of GPV Lanka, which was a good success. The enthusiasm, eagerness and grace shown by all the personnel, who were willing to donate was an amazing reward to the team involved.
