Covid-19: Situation update for GPV production sites

With the continued rapid development of the Covid-19 situation worldwide, we stay in close contact with our customers in order to inform all customers about their deliveries from all our production sites.

We will update the situation every second day.
The customer order situation is individually handled through direct GPV contact persons.

A special task force including sales, shipping and global sourcing is closely monitoring the development to secure the scheduled, steady flow of supplies so that we can maintain production at full speed. Furthermore, we work closely with our supply chain partners to obtain forecast with regards to potential disruption of deliveries of goods.

Consider current open orders
In the light of the uncertainty, we recommend all our customers to carefully consider their current open orders. GPV contact persons will approach customers individually and discuss adjustments and prioritisations wherever needed. We will do all we can to accommodate these needs in a fast and flexible manner.

Our freight forwarders have informed us that limited flight capacity can result in delays in transit time.

All affected customers will be contacted directly by their direct GPV contact person to discuss priorities.

GPV Electronics in Sri Lanka is currently in "red"
On 17 March 2020, the Government in Sri Lanka declared a national holiday until Thursday 19 March 2020 in order to try to prevent and control the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak. Furthermore, the Government has closed all borders. There may be interruptions for inbound and outbound shipments as airlines are expected to scale down scheduled flights. Arrival of passengers will accordingly be halted until 31 March. This means that the GPV Electronics production site in Sri Lanka is closed up to and including 19 March 2020 and is also not able to handle any freights.

A special task force is monitoring the situation closely and is currently investigating the implications regarding the closing. Our customer responsibles will contact all affected customers.
