The Brüel & Kjær Project

In 2007 the Danish company Brüel & Kjær decided to place their next, large

development project ”LAN-XI” with GPV. LAN-XI is Data Acquisition Hardware

applied for the measurement of sound and vibration.

During a period of about three years, Brüel & Kjær developed more than 40

different and very complex modules for this system.
GPV’s project group in Denmark contributed to the very quick optimization

and introduction of these products in the market.

Flexible as well as efficient organization and project management were

instrumental in creating the successful results through quick and flexible order
processing, efficient and alternative retrieval and purchase of components
combined with an optimization of production processes as
well as SMT assembly, mechanical assembly and testing of the products.

As the project progressed, several cases of updating and optimization of the
products were subject to demand and implementation, where the solutions were
only feasible via the flexibility and strict management by GPV’s project group
combined with the close cooperation with
Brüel & Kjær’s employees at all levels.
During the past six months the project has been transferred for production in a
low-cost country,
i.e. GPV’s own plant GPV Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.
This transfer is primarily handled by GPV with the minimum involvement on the
part of Brüel
& Kjær.

The handling of the above project processes belongs to GPV’s core competencies,
and we have
many years’ experience in the implementation and refinement of
such processes.
